Customize EmberBoard to match your workflow and preferences.
Project Settings
Access via File → Settings
Frame Rate (FPS)
Choose project frame rate:
- 24 FPS - Film standard (default)
- 30 FPS - NTSC video
- 60 FPS - High frame rate
Note: Changing FPS doesn't alter existing beat durations, only how they're calculated going forward.
Aspect Ratio
Set output dimensions:
- 16:9 - Widescreen (1920×1080)
- 9:16 - Vertical/mobile (1080×1920)
- 1:1 - Square (1080×1080)
Use case:
- 16:9 for film/TV
- 9:16 for mobile/social
- 1:1 for Instagram/square formats
Beat Color Scheme
Timeline color scheme:
- Blue/Green - Default
- Orange/Grey - Alternative
Changes selected/current beat highlight colors.
UI Themes
Access via View → Theme
Dark Theme (Default)
- Black backgrounds
- High contrast
- Easy on eyes for long sessions
Light Theme
- White backgrounds
- Clean, bright look
- Better for daytime/bright rooms
High Contrast
- Maximum readability
- Accessibility-focused
- Best for visibility
Tip: Theme preference saved per browser.
Window Layout
Resizable Panels
Drag panel edges to resize:
- Properties Panel - Make wider for script editing
- Timeline - Make taller for detailed view
- Output Window - Adjust to focus on image
Reset Layout
View → Reset Layout to return to defaults.
